We are seeking an experienced   Bilingual Technical Writer   to create, translate, and maintain high-quality product documentation for software used in the financial services industry. This role requires strong technical writing skills in English and   French (Canadian) , experience with localization tools and workflows, and the ability to work closely with subject matter experts, product teams, and other stakeholders.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to manage multiple documentation projects in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities: • Translate software user interface text   and online help documentation from English   into   French   with a high degree of accuracy, clarity, and consistency. • Review and validate the French-language user interface after implementation to identify and correct translation, formatting, terminology, and display issues. • Write, revise, and maintain technical documentation in multiple formats, including online help, user guides,   and   release notes ,   and   follow established style guides, branding standards, terminology, and documentation best practices . • Work with subject matter experts   to gather information and   o rganize   content   into documentation that is clear, concise, and easy for end users to understand . • Maintain   translation   resources (translation   memor ies   and terminology )   to   ensure   consistent language across products and documentation . • Manage   writing   and   translation   assignments   to   meet   deadlines with minimal supervision . • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product releases and ensure documentation is delivered on schedule. • Use AI-assisted writing, editing, translation, or productivity tools responsibly to improve efficiency and content quality, while applying human judgment to verify accuracy, compliance, tone, and confidentiality requirements. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Communication, Arts, Journalism, Translation, or a related field. • Formal post-secondary training in technical writing, technical communication, translation, localization, or   a related   discipline. • 5–7 years of experience   in technical writing   in the software   or financial   industry. • Professional-level written and verbal communication skills in   English and French , including the ability to write and edit effectively in both languages. • Demonstrated experience translating technical or software-related content into   Frenc h . • 5+ years of experience   using   MadCap Flare   to create and   maintain   documentation. • 5+ years of experience   using translation memory tools, preferably   memoQ Pro , including maintaining translation memories and terminology databases. • Strong editing, proofreading, and quality review skills for both source and translated content. • Experience with screen capture and image editing tools such as Snagit or   PaintShop   Pro. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including   Word, Excel, and PowerPoint . • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently. • Strong research skills and the ability to gather accurate information from technical and non-technical stakeholders. • High attention to detail, especially in terminology, grammar, formatting, and consistency. Preferred Qualifications • Experience writing or translating documentation for the   financial services, wealth management, banking, brokerage, or fintech   industry. • Familiarity with financial services concepts, terminology, regulatory language, or software workflows. • Understanding of   documentation design, information architecture, content layout, and publishing best practices. • Experience working with style guides, controlled language, and terminology management. • P roject   management   skills, including planning, tracking, and   coordinating documentation   deliverables . • Comfortable learning and adopting new tools, including   AI-powered writing, translation, and content productivity tools , with an open-minded approach to using technology responsibly and effectively.
