Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd is accepting online applications for the position of Benchamas Mechanic Lead located in GOT Benchamas Offshore Field through August 12, 2026 (11:59 PM Thailand Time).
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
• Direct and supervise technicians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of GOT
• Manage and control spare parts inventory and stock levels to support equipment reliability and operational readiness
• Lead complex troubleshooting and equipment failure investigations, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented
• Support the Maintenance Superintendent in managing the mechanical team to achieve production, reliability, and maintenance performance targets
• Drive the use of efficient and cost-effective maintenance processes, tools, and reliability improvement practices.
• Ensure compliance with: Safety rules and procedures; Process Safety Management requirements; Company maintenance standards and policies; Provide technical guidance, maintenance quality assurance, and workmanship oversight for mechanical maintenance activities
Required Qualifications:
• Diploma Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or a bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• At least 8 years of offshore Oil & Gas maintenance experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role involving offshore machinery and equipment maintenance, with demonstrated performance in reliability improvement and hands-on maintenance
• Strong capability to lead and develop maintenance teams and collaborate effectively with both offshore and onshore personnel
• Experience providing technical oversight, quality assurance, and workmanship reviews for maintenance activities
• Proficiency in: Spare parts management, Inventory control, Work Order (WO) management, and Maintenance cost analysis
• Strong knowledge of: Maintenance Processes, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), Systematic Equipment Reliability Improvement Process, Ability to understand organizational relationships and make effective day-to-day operational decisions
• Technical Experience Preferred. The role oversees maintenance of: Gas turbines and generators, Compressors, Pumps, Pressure vessels, Cranes, Firewater systems, Lifeboats and safety-critical equipment, Utility and production support systems
