Location: Nassau County, NY Status: Part-Time, Fee for Service or Full time Compensation: $40-$75/hour (FFS) OR $58,500-$75,000 annually Please note this is a range. Entry level behavior specialist roles start in the lower range with rates determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. The position may be either full-time or fee-for-service depending on current caseload. Benefits Generous Paid Time Off (25-28 days) 12 Holidays including Winter break Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Referral Program Professional Development Assistance Pet Insurance Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Insurance Team Building Events Incentive Program Opportunities to earn BACB CEU's Responsibilities Partner with school administrators, teachers, aides, related service providers, and families to develop behavioral supports Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) Design and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Collect and analyze behavioral data Develop classroom-based behavioral supports Provide coaching and feedback to classroom staff Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings Maintain communication with clinical leadership Develop and facilitate staff trainings Complete documentation and progress reports Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and FERPA Participate in professional development and supervision Travel between assigned school districts Qualifications NYS Driver's License and Proof of Insurance Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, Educational/Health/Human Services BCBA Certification preferred Minimum 1 year experience supporting children and families Bilingual is a plus Work Style Strong communication and collaboration skills Independent problem-solving ability Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Flexible and team-oriented mindset
