Position Overview We are seeking a Barista/ Deli Sandwich Artist to oversee our sandwich station at our café located at the U of M Brighton Specialty Center . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, stays calm under pressure, and leads by example in both service and execution. This position is approximately 20-30   hours per week, with early morning shifts starting at 7:00 AM . Most weekends and major holidays -are off. Overtime may be available for special events. Responsibilities • Prepare sandwiches according to company specifications and quality standards • Lead execution of high-volume sandwich service during peak hours • Prep ingredients for daily service and catering (slice deli meats, prepare house-made salads, vegetable prep, etc.) • Prepare specialty coffee beverages (Starbucks-style drinks) • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards at all times • Provide friendly, efficient customer service • Support and assist team members as needed • Answer customer questions and ensure a positive guest experience • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and consistency What We’re Looking For • Calm, flexible, and reliable under pressure • Strong work ethic and positive attitude • Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced food service environment • Strong attention to detail and consistency • Team-oriented mindset Benefits • Health benefits available after 90 days • Overtime opportunities for special events • Stable daytime schedule with most weekends and holidays off
