Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Antwerp

Role Overview:
Our client, an established organisation operating within the logistics and aviation sector in Antwerp, is looking for an experienced Freelance Business Analyst to support the delivery of business-critical technology initiatives.
You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into clear, structured technical specifications. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex operational systems in a fast-paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Gather, analyse, and document business requirements through workshops and stakeholder interviews.
· Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements for development teams.
· Work closely with business users, software developers, architects, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
· Produce functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
· Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for optimisation and digitalisation.
· Support solution design and validate that proposed solutions meet business objectives.
· Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Assist with testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business expectations.
· Support implementation and change management activities where required.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on IT or digital transformation projects.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Comfortable facilitating workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
• Experience creating process maps, user stories, and functional documentation.
Nice to Have
• Previous experience within logistics, aviation, transport, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
• Experience working with operational systems, integrations, APIs, or enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration platforms.
• Knowledge of system integration projects.

Duration: 12 months (+ extensions)
