Salary: £28,000 BAFTA is looking for a talented AV Technician with a strong technical background to work with them to deliver their ambitious plans for the future. About BAFTA 195 Piccadilly We are looking for a talented AV Technician with a strong technical background to work within us to deliver our ambitious plans for the future. BAFTA 195 Piccadilly has recently undergone a £33 million refurbishment, which includes £3 million of state-of-the-art technical equipment in 4 floors of spaces and houses the BAFTA Members Club, 2 theatres and numerous spaces for both BAFTA’s Learning, Inclusion and Talent programmes and revenue generating commercial hire. They will also be involved in advising BAFTA on any future technical advancements and requirements and supporting the Technical Manager in ensuring that BAFTA 195 Piccadilly remains world class in the technical services it provides. Ideally you will have: • Good knowledge of all AV formats • Excellent communication stakeholder management and influencing skills • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office • Ability to work under the pressure of live events • Good timekeeping and attendance record • Adaptable and quick to learn • Operation and knowledge of multiple formats of video and presentation formats including:- • DCP • Microsoft office suite • MAC (Keynote) • Blu-Ray • Video Files (inc Prores/ mp4 /mov) • Gaming Consoles Ideally you will be: • Passionate about delivering the BAFTA ‘gold standard’ in everything you do • Someone who can create a memorable experience for our members and their guests • Flexible, professional and courteous • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines • Patient and compassionate when people ‘don’t get’ technology • Presentable at all times and comfortable liaising with guests Applications To apply, please use the form on our website to upload a document that in no more than 500 words explains why you think you are suitable for this position, what skills you have to be successful in this role and, in particular, what experience/knowledge you have in AV.
