We are looking to hire an experienced Automotive Mechanic   to join our growing team based in  Slave Lake, Alberta. The   Automotive Mechanic   is required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of light vehicles. The candidate must be able to analyze, troubleshoot, dismantle, align, assemble and adjust mechanical equipment and machinery to maintain it in efficient operating condition. Responsibilities: • Provide light vehicle troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs • Complete maintenance and repairs as required • Installation of new and added-on equipment • Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues • Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies • Ensure accurate completion of work orders and timecards • Test repaired equipment for proper performance • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques • Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations • Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules • Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision • Perform other mechanical repair work as required Desired skills and Experience: • Licensed Automotive Mechanic • At least 3 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic • Experience working with commercial equipment, machinery and vehicles • Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract • Ability to work independently in a busy environment • Experience with routine maintenance operations • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing • Able to work well under pressure • Computer literate LaPrairie Works Inc. provides Industry-leading compensation and benefits, professional training, and development opportunities and all within a supportive, dynamic, and proactive work environment.
