Job Description: Automotive Assembler and Fabricator Company Overview: Vintage Modern is a globally recognized automotive manufacturer celebrated for crafting world-class classic Broncos that seamlessly blend vintage design and with modern innovation. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Automotive Assembler and Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the logistics and production of our Assembly processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality. Overview: As an Automotive Assembler and Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and fabricating various components to build our classic Broncos. This role requires a combination of mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with precision tools and equipment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Component Assembly: Read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and specifications to determine the sequence of operations. Assemble mechanical components such body panels and supporting mount plates. 2. Fabrication and Modification: Fabricate and modify parts or components using tools like welders, grinders, and cutting equipment. Perform welding, brazing, or soldering operations to join materials together. 3. Installation and Testing: Install and fit assembled parts and components into vehicles or automotive systems. Conduct functional tests and inspections to ensure proper operation and alignment of parts. 4. Quality Control: Inspect finished assemblies and parts to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications. Identify and address any defects or issues in the assembly process. 5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, including parts used, time taken, and any problems encountered. Report any deviations from assembly instructions or quality standards to supervisors or engineering teams. 6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when operating machinery and handling hazardous materials. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Skills and Qualifications: · Proven experience as an automotive or mechanical assembler preferred. · Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools. · Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams. · Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques. · Attention to detail and a focus on producing high-quality work. · Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. · Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot assembly issues. Education and Experience: · High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive technology or related field is a plus. · Previous experience in automotive assembly, fabrication, Bodyshop or a similar role is desirable. Working Conditions: · Work is typically performed in a manufacturing or automotive workshop environment. · May involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy components. · Flexible hours may be required based on production schedules and project deadlines.
