Description
1. Equipment Operation & Maintenance Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of automated sortation systems, conveyor systems, barcode scanners, DWS systems, and other material handling equipment. Monitor equipment performance and operating parameters to ensure system availability and operational efficiency (target uptime of 98% or higher). Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment documentation. 2. Troubleshooting & Technical Support Respond quickly to equipment failures, system alarms, downtime, and operational issues. Diagnose electrical, mechanical, PLC, and control system failures and implement corrective actions to minimize production interruptions. Establish rapid response procedures to reduce equipment downtime and improve maintenance efficiency. 3. Preventive Maintenance & Reliability Improvement Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for automation equipment. Manage spare parts inventory and track component life cycles. Monitor key maintenance KPIs, including MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and continuously improve equipment reliability while reducing maintenance costs. 4. Equipment Installation & Continuous Improvement Participate in the installation, commissioning, testing, and acceptance of new automation equipment. Work closely with equipment vendors and engineering teams on system upgrades and process improvements. Analyze equipment performance data and recommend energy-saving initiatives and operational optimization projects. 5. Documentation & Training Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance documentation, and emergency response procedures. Provide technical training and guidance to operations and maintenance personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of automation equipment. Promote standardized maintenance practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
