Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and organized Parts Manager to oversee all aspects of parts procurement, inventory management, and parts-related production support at our Schaumburg location. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring repair jobs move efficiently through the shop by maintaining accurate inventory, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring technicians have the right parts at the right time. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with automotive collision repair experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of parts management in delivering exceptional repair quality and cycle times. Key Responsibilities Order, receive, verify, and manage parts for all collision repair jobs. Review repair estimates to ensure all necessary parts are identified and ordered accurately. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure timely delivery of parts. Inspect incoming parts for accuracy, quality, and damage before distribution. Label, organize, and stage parts for assigned repair vehicles. Monitor and maintain parts inventory, returns, credits, and core charges. Track backordered parts and proactively communicate delays to production staff and management. Work closely with estimators, technicians, and production managers to support workflow and minimize repair delays. Maintain accurate records of parts purchases, invoices, and inventory transactions. Ensure the parts department remains organized, clean, and compliant with company standards. Assist in developing vendor relationships to maximize cost savings and service levels. Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
