Description
Outsourcing Advantage is a boutique business process outsourcing (BPO) firm specializing in back-office and customer service support for U.S.-based businesses in the hospital and health care sector. As an Authorization Receiver, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless authorization processes that directly impact client operations and service continuity. Key responsibilities include: Enter and maintain authorizations in CentralReach, including temporary authorizations, change-of-provider requests, and continuation-of-care requests Follow up with insurance companies to ensure authorizations are received and processed in a timely manner Review authorization statuses, resolve discrepancies, and obtain missing information/documentation Grant late conversion permissions when approved and in compliance with company guidelines Monitor upcoming authorization expirations and notify the placement team to prevent service disruptions Audit submitted authorizations for accuracy and completeness prior to/after submission to insurance Monitor and respond to office, authsupport, and payroll support inboxes Review, approve, or deny makeup requests based on authorization availability and policy guidelines Adjust converted sessions when permitted and ensure all updates are properly documented Support authorization-related escalations and contribute to operational workflow efficiency Collaborate with intake, placement, and authorization teams to coordinate authorization needs Requirements Required Qualifications: Experience in an administrative or operations support role requiring accurate data entry and record maintenance Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Experience communicating with insurance companies or payers to follow up on authorization status or required documentation Experience collaborating with internal teams C1 English level Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with hospital and health care industry processes Experience with other healthcare authorization or scheduling platforms Benefits Opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects.
