Description
We are seeking highly motivated and independent professionals to join our Audit team for Forvis Mazars. This position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia , but will be working with the Luxembourg office on engagements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of clients by driving workforce planning, resource coordination, technical guidance, and team development to support the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services.
• Provide direction to engagement teams on complex audit and technical matters, ensuring appropriate professional skepticism and sound professional judgement are applied throughout the engagement.
• Coordinate engagement delivery by managing stakeholder expectations, monitoring project timelines, and ensuring timely communication of progress, risks, and key milestones.
• Lead the development of team capabilities by championing continuous learning, encouraging knowledge sharing, and supporting training and professional growth initiatives.
• Lead team performance management processes, including goal setting, workload planning, regular feedback, performance reviews, and career development discussions.
• Manage staff performance, conduct timely performance reviews, and provide performance feedback.
• Coordinate resource planning, workload allocation and team capacity to support effective engagement delivery and staff development.
• Work with the audit business support team to manage engagement financials, including budgets, profitability, work-in-progress, timely billing and collection
• Facilitate effective communication within the cross functional and culturally diverse team.
• Coordinate team scheduling, resource allocation and utilization.
• Monitor timesheet compliance and team capacity.
• Drive onboarding, training, mentoring and succession planning.
• Foster team engagement through regular coaching and check-ins
Requirements
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably from an international accounting firm including demonstrated experience leading engagement teams, managing resources, and coordinating multiple audit engagements.
• Strong grasp of technical skills with proficiency in IFRS and ISA.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively and efficiently across all levels with the ability to provide guidance, coaching and technical direction to engagement teams on complex audit matters.
• Possess strong ethical values and has respect for diversity while fostering an inclusive, collaborative and respectful team environment.
• Proactive and possess positive “can do” attitude to challenges and the agility to multitask effectively across competing priorities.
• Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to lead teams successfully in a fast-paced environment.
