Tax Salary: Competitive Firm: Moore South Career Stage: Early Careers Location: Salisbury Contract Type: Permanent Closing Date: Dec 31, 2023 12:00 am Job description ABOUT THE ATT / CTA TAX TRAINEE POSITION IN SALISBURY We are currently recruiting for an ATT or CTA Tax Trainee based out of our Salisbury office. To work towards an ATT / CTA qualification. Working within the tax team effectively and to assist in keeping clients by delivering to them what is promised by the firm. You will receive structured training and full financial and managerial support during your study. SKILLS & EXPERTISE REQUIRED FOR THE ATT / CTA TAX TRAINEE POSITION • Should be educated to a minimum of GCSEs/A Levels or equivalent. • Working towards ATT Foundation and/or Intermediate Level. • Experience within a similar office/accounting environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF OUR ATT/CTA TAX TRAINEE POSITION IN SALISBURY • Preparation of tax accounting calculations. • Analysis of financial data of a complex nature. • Carry out tax research and summarize findings. • Corporation tax compliance. • Respond to HMRC correspondence and assist with inquiries. • Preparation of tax notes for accounts and reporting. • Respond to queries from finance functions and auditors. • Study for professional qualifications (ATT, CTA). The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by both your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Firm. ABOUT YOU You will need an aptitude for analytical thinking and good attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team or on your own are all qualities needed to succeed in this role. You must be conversant with computer packages, and you will have a willingness to learn new tasks, be organized, reliable, and pay excellent attention to detail. You have good time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and budgets. You are able to prepare and present information through liaising with other team members in our Salisbury Office and across the other 4 offices within the firm and have the understanding and appreciation of other people's and the organization's targets.
