The firm provides high-caliber legal representation in complex, high-stakes matters while maintaining a professional and collaborative practice environment. Position Overview The firm is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Associate Attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of civil and commercial litigation experience. The successful candidate will assume immediate responsibility for a diverse caseload and participate in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit evaluation through trial and appellate proceedings. Essential Responsibilities • Case Management: Manage civil and commercial litigation files, including construction disputes, breach of contract actions, real estate litigation, and bankruptcy adversary proceedings. • Pleadings & Motions: Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal memoranda. Appear in state and federal courts to argue substantive and procedural motions. • Discovery Practice: Formulate discovery strategies, draft interrogatories and requests for production, conduct document reviews, and take and defend depositions. • Trial Advocacy: Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and trials. • Client Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular status updates and strategic legal counsel. • Supervision: Oversee and direct the work of assigned paralegals and legal assistants. Qualifications and Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated civil or commercial litigation experience. • Demonstrated courtroom and trial experience preferred. • Exceptional legal research, analytical, and writing skills. • Strong communication, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills. • Proficient in legal research databases (Westlaw/LexisNexis).
