Capital Tax Recruitment is supporting an established professional services firm with the appointment of an Associate Director to strengthen its growing Financial Services Tax practice. This opportunity sits within a team advising a broad range of financial institutions, including asset managers, investment platforms, insurers, banking groups and other FS market participants. The firm is continuing to expand in response to rising client demand across the sector. The Opportunity The successful individual will take a leading role in the development of the firm's asset management tax offering. The position combines technical delivery, portfolio leadership and involvement in shaping the future direction of the practice. The work spans UK and international tax matters, covering advisory projects, oversight of compliance programmes and input into tax audit support. There will be significant interaction with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, along with the chance to contribute to business development activity across the wider FS practice. As part of a collaborative team, the Associate Director will also support the growth and development of colleagues, particularly those in the London office. Key Responsibilities • Lead a portfolio of engagements across the asset management sector • Deliver technically robust advisory work with a focus on clarity, accuracy and commercial insight • Build long term client relationships and contribute to the development of new opportunities • Oversee advisory, compliance and audit related tax projects, ensuring work is completed to a high standard • Manage budgets, timelines and internal reporting for client assignments • Support junior team members through mentoring, guidance and review of work Candidate Profile • Strong experience advising financial services clients, particularly those in the asset management industry • Broad understanding of business tax and cross border considerations, with an interest in staying current with regulatory changes • Confident working with senior stakeholders and managing complex client portfolios • Commercial outlook with the ability to spot opportunities for further engagement • Experience leading and developing teams within a professional services environment Benefits and Progression The firm provides a competitive salary, regular reviews, a performance based bonus structure and a comprehensive benefits package.
