Job purpose/role Allianz Investment Management SE (AIM) in Stuttgart is responsible for the investment strategy and its implementation for the German Life and Health insurance entities of Allianz. As part of the Investment Strategy Team, you will help shape the private debt investment strategy for a global, diversified portfolio of more than EUR 300bn in assets under management. Key responsibilities • Shape and implement the global investment strategy in private debt • Drive data analytics initiatives , including data quality improvements, dashboard development and ad-hoc insights • Monitor portfolio development and performance, and prepare investment reportings • Evaluate complex and large-scale private debt investment proposals through qualitative and quantitative financial analysis, valuation, and credit assessments, in close collaboration with senior investment professionals • Contribute to decision-making processes at global and local levels, particularly in relation to investment transactions • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external asset managers Key requirements/skills/experience • Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field • 3+ years work experience in investment, finance, or valuation functions, ideally with exposure to private markets, alternative assets and data-related topics • Strong interest in financial markets and investments as well as data analytics, programming, or databases (e.g. Python, SQL) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with clear communication skills • Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong sense of ownership, results orientation, and ability to work under tight deadlines • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken), other European languages are a plus Internal applicant information We welcome applications from within the Allianz Group.
