We Bloom Recovery Cafe Summary
The Recovery Café is a love-based, peer recovery community rooted in radical hospitality and loving accountability, welcoming people seeking recovery in all its forms. By honoring every pathway to recovery, we create space where each person’s gifts are known, needed, and loved. We support recovery from trauma and its impacts—including substance use, mental health challenges, homelessness, and systemic barriers.
Position Summary
The Associate Director of Recovery Programs & Operations is We Bloom's primary implementation leader and operational builder, partnering closely with the Executive Director to translate organizational vision into consistent, mission-driven execution. This role strengthens people, programs, systems, and operations while helping prepare We Bloom for its next phase of growth.

Primary Areas of Responsibility
1. Recovery Café Program Leadership
• Provide day-to-day leadership for We Bloom Recovery Café.
• Supervise and coach Recovery Café Managers and program staff.
• Ensure high-quality implementation of programming and member services.
• Develop emerging leaders and create opportunities for staff growth.
• Maintain consistent, trauma-informed practices throughout Recovery Café operations.
2. Organizational Operations & Implementation
• Translate the Executive Director & Board’s vision into clear operational plans and measurable actions.
• Lead cross-functional implementation of strategic initiatives and organizational improvements.
• Continuously improve systems, workflows, and policies; identify barriers and implement practical solutions.
• Oversee facilities, technology, vendors, inventory, safety, and logistics.
• Provide operational stewardship of assigned budgets & approve operational purchases within delegated authority.
• Partner with the Executive Director in developing annual program and operational budgets and monitoring financial performance.
• Make thoughtful operational decisions aligned with We Bloom's mission and values.
3. Organizational Systems, Grants & Data
• Ensure grant implementation aligns with organizational priorities.
• Improve data quality, reporting reliability, and organizational metrics.
• Support operational budgeting related to programs and grants and financial stewardship of grant-funded programs
4. Future Growth & Leadership Development
• Build infrastructure for future organizational growth.
• Develop leadership pathways for managers and staff.
• Support launch of future initiatives including Youth Café and Co-Creators Community.
• Foster innovation while maintaining operational excellence.

Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years of progressive leadership and supervisory experience.
• Personal lived experience in recovery, broadly understood as healing from substance use, mental health challenges, trauma, grief, or other significant life experiences, with active engagement in one's own ongoing recovery journey.
• Demonstrates emotional maturity, self-awareness, and an ongoing commitment to personal healing, self-reflection, and growth.
• Experience supervising and developing staff in a recovery or social services setting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Proven experience managing grant outcomes, data collection & associated budgets.
• Commitment to trauma-informed leadership and We Bloom's mission.
• Management of Daily Operations (ideally facilities management included).

• Build trusting, collaborative relationships with staff, volunteers, and community partners.
• Develop leadership capacity within the Recovery Café team.
• Strengthen a culture of transparency, collaboration, loving accountability, and continuous learning.
• Establish clear operational systems, workflows, and communication practices.
• Implement process improvements that increase efficiency.
• Strengthen cross-functional coordination.
• Successfully implement grant-funded initiatives and deliverables including improvement of organizational data quality and reporting reliability.

• Empower managers and staff to assume increased ownership of operational responsibilities, creating a more distributed and sustainable leadership structure across the organization.
• Create greater organizational capacity by enabling the Executive Director to focus on strategic leadership, fundraising, partnerships, and organizational development.
Compensation Package
Salary:
• $60,000 – $69,000 annually, dependent upon relevant experience

Schedule (Salaried role but must be present at a minimum on the following days/hours for oversight of We Bloom Recovery Café & staff supervision)
• Tuesday through Friday: 9AM – 6:30PM
• Saturday: 8:30AM to 1:30PM
