We are seeking a data-driven Analyst (Associate Consultant) to play a pivotal role in our journey to become the world’s no 1 payments supply chain consultancy. Job Overview CMSPI Associates play an integral role in our client-facing consulting teams, delivering detailed and investigative work that helps some of the world’s largest merchants optimize their payments strategies. Working alongside senior associates and engagement managers, you will analyse complex client datasets, evaluate current payment arrangements, and identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve performance, and enhance customer payment experiences. Following CMSPI’s methodologies and industry best practices, you will develop actionable recommendations supported by robust analysis, benchmarking, and market research. You will contribute to client presentations, supplier negotiations, RFPs, and strategic payment initiatives while building deep expertise across the payment's ecosystems, including acquiring, gateways, network service provisioning, alternative payment methods, fraud, and payment optimization. This role combines analytical problem-solving, commercial thinking, and client interaction, providing a strong foundation for a career in payments consulting in a truly global company. Responsibilities and Duties As a key member of the consulting team, your responsibilities will include: Analyse complex payment datasets, commercial arrangements, and payment processes to identify opportunities for clients to reduce costs, improve performance, and optimize customer payment experiences. Work with deciders at leading international merchants, payment providers, and financial institutions on complex commercial and technology-driven projects across Europe and beyond. Produce high-quality analysis and client deliverables using Excel, PowerBI, SQL-Queries, presentations and written reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Apply CMSPI methodologies, benchmarking data, market intelligence, and analytical thinking to develop evidence-based recommendations for our clients. Support client workshops, presentations, and strategic discussions with senior stakeholders by providing analytical, technical, and commercial insights. Contribute to supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing initiatives, and tender processes through detailed analysis, business case development, and preparation of client-facing documentation. Review commercial arrangements, pricing schedules, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Take ownership of project workstreams, collaborating closely with Senior Associates and Enagement Managers with guidance from Directors and VPs, to ensure successful project delivery and adherence to deadlines.
