Description
NiCE is a global software company serving law enforcement and public safety agencies with cloud-based platforms. As an Associate Cloud Operations Engineer, you will join the CloudOps team managing mission-critical Azure infrastructure, handling production deployments, incident response, and building automation to improve operational reliability at scale.
What You'll Do
• Deploy and validate application environments on Azure Public and Azure Government Cloud, executing releases and managing change with discipline
• Operate core Azure services in production including VMs, App Services, Storage, Azure SQL, networking, IAM, and Azure Monitor/Log Analytics
• Perform operational maintenance: patching, scaling, backups, disaster recovery validation, and access management
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis, documenting runbooks and operational procedures
• Build automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to reduce toil and improve reliability
• Participate in 24×7 on-call rotations as part of a global operational model
• Implement AI-driven workflows for alert triage, knowledge management, and operational intelligence using Azure OpenAI and Copilot
What You Need
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience operating Azure in production environments, ideally including Azure Government Cloud
• Strong practical knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, App Services, Azure SQL, and Azure Monitor
• Real troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, OS, network, and application layers
• Windows and/or Linux server administration experience
• Scripting capability in PowerShell, Bash, or Shell
• Working knowledge of CI/CD with Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with ITIL principles: incident, change, and problem management
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, on-call environment supporting mission-critical workloads
Nice to Have
• Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
• AKS or container-based workload management
• Grafana, Kibana, or Application Insights experience
• Cloud cost optimization and governance experience
• Azure security best practices implementation
• Hands-on experience implementing AI-assisted operations, intelligent alerting, or automation that measurably reduced manual effort
• Certifications: AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), AZ-900 (Fundamentals), AZ-500 (Security Engineer), or AI-900
