Associate Account Manager, Personal Lines The J. Position Overview The Personal Lines Account Manager supports the servicing and retention of personal insurance clients by providing outstanding customer service and day-to-day account support. This role works closely with clients, insurance carriers, and teammates to assist with policy changes, renewals, coverage questions, and ongoing client needs. What You'll Do Client Service & Account Management • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned personal insurance clients. • Build and  maintain  positive client relationships through responsive and professional service. • Assist  clients with policy changes, endorsements, billing questions, and coverage inquiries. • Process certificates, evidence of insurance, policy documents, and other servicing requests. • Respond to client requests via phone, email, and other communication channels. • Maintain  accurate  client records and documentation within the agency management system. • Assist  clients with reporting claims and provide updates throughout the claims process when  appropriate . Policy Renewals & Retention • Assist  with the personal  lines  renewal process. • Review renewal information for accuracy and completeness. • Communicate with clients  regarding  policy changes and renewal options. • Support retention efforts by providing proactive and  timely  client service. • Follow agency procedures to ensure renewals are processed accurately and on time. Administrative & Operational Support • Prepare applications and  supporting  documentation for new and existing accounts. • Coordinate with insurance carriers to obtain policy information and documentation. • Assist  with collecting required signatures and client paperwork. • Maintain organized electronic client files and correspondence. • Support agency initiatives and process improvement efforts as needed. Learning & Professional Development • Develop knowledge of personal insurance products  including auto,  home, renters, umbrella, and recreational vehicle coverage. • Learn  carrier guidelines, systems, and agency procedures. • Participate in training and continuing education opportunities. • Pursue Property & Casualty licensing if not already licensed. What We're Looking For Qualifications • Approximately 1 year of insurance, customer service, administrative, banking, retail, hospitality, or other client-facing experience. • California Property & Casualty License preferred but not  required . • Interest  in building a career within the insurance industry. • Strong customer service mindset and relationship-building skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency  with Microsoft Office and general computer systems. • Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Preferred Qualifications • College degree preferred. • Prior Personal Lines insurance experience. • Experience working in a professional office environment. • Experience handling customer accounts or service requests. • Familiarity with agency management systems is a plus.
