An established and growing leader in commercial architectural millwork is seeking a driven Assistant Production Manager to support and elevate daily shop operations. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced woodworking environment and is ready to help lead production, improve processes, and support a skilled team. Location: Attleboro, MA Schedule: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Compensation: $30–$35/hour or $65,000–$75,000 salary (based on experience) Overtime: Available Why Join the Team: • Competitive pay with overtime opportunities • Stable, growing company with long-term career potential • Hands-on leadership role with high visibility in operations • Work on high-end architectural millwork projects • Collaborative, team-oriented environment Key Responsibilities: Production Coordination & Operations: • Support daily millwork production to ensure schedules, quality, and efficiency goals are met • Coordinate workflow between production departments, engineering, and project management • Maintain production tracking systems and monitor quality control to reduce errors and rework Leadership & Team Support: • Assist in managing shop personnel and holding team members accountable • Help lead daily production meetings and communicate priorities clearly • Address personnel or workflow issues and escalate as needed Purchasing & Materials Management: • Maintain purchasing logs and ensure materials are ordered and available on time • Verify stock levels before ordering hardware and materials • Assist with inventory control, labeling, and monthly inventory checks Facility & Equipment Coordination: • Support preventative maintenance planning for equipment and facility • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with appropriate teams Shipping & Workflow Management: • Verify shipping schedules and coordinate with shop foremen • Help maintain an organized, efficient, and clean shop floor Safety & Compliance: • Enforce company safety policies and procedures • Conduct routine safety checks and report concerns Reporting & Administration: • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and operational reports • Track attendance and maintain accurate records Qualifications: • Experience in millwork, woodworking, or related manufacturing environment • Ability to lead and manage others in a production setting • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and production tracking systems) • Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings • Understanding of material properties within the woodworking industry • Strong organizational and communication skills • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law.
