ROLE OVERVIEW
PURPOSE OF JOB
The Assistant Manager in the Shared
Services Team will play a critical role in reviewing financial statements,
ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and managing key bookkeeping
tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles,
excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within the
team to support the Shared Services Manager.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Review and analyse financial statements in
accordance with applicable accounting standards for portfolio of clients.
• Preparation of information for the client, which
may include portfolio information, valuations, bookkeeping, Trial Balances
or financial statements.
• Assist in managing the monthly, quarterly, and
annual close processes, including reviewing journal entries,
reconciliations.
• Oversee and review general ledger activities to
ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Responsible for work on more complex entities
involving consolidation.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls over
financial reporting and bookkeeping processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather,
analyse, and interpret financial information.
• Attend to audit queries and liaise with auditors to
ensure finalization of audit within relevant deadlines.
• Ensure tax filing, tax compliance and regulatory
compliance for a portfolio of clients.
• Mentor and support the team by fostering a culture
of continuous learning and professional development.
• Assist in resolve queries on a timely basis and
liaise with client to ensure timely resolution of matters arising within
the required deadlines.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and
maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to improve operational
efficiency.
• Perform other ad-hoc financial analysis and
reporting as required.
• Adhere to JTC core values and expected behaviours.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• ACCA fully or partly qualified (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or review role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
