About This Role The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in creating a nurturing environment for young children, supporting Teachers in their efforts to provide exceptional care and education. To succeed in this position, one must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and build strong relationships with families. By observing and documenting children's progress, the Teacher Assistant provides valuable insights to parents and staff, contributing to the development of a high-quality educational program that caters to each child's unique needs and interests. What You'll Do • Maintains a safe and healthy environment for children, ensuring their health, safety, dignity, and basic rights are protected. • Assists children in developing self-help skills and good personal hygiene habits. • Complies with all licensing rules and center policies, ensuring timely completion of legally-required reporting for the health and safety of children. • Maintains excellent time management, punctuality, and attendance records. • Supervises and interacts with children to promote their growth and development, using approved behavior guidance and care-giving techniques that align with the program's objectives. • Collaborates with colleagues to foster a positive, team-oriented environment within the center. • Develops and maintains clear communication with parents, working to build strong relationships that cater to the family's needs. • Works closely with staff to implement a quality educational program and develop positive relationships with children and their parents. Requirements High School Diploma Licenses and certifications as required by the state and center. Experience working with children in a childcare setting. Ability to pass a background check.
