Assistant Head Teacher (Special Needs School) Location: Birmingham Salary: £250 – £300 Contract: Full-time, Long-Term About Us: This fantastic specialist school is a dedicated special needs school committed to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment for students with diverse needs. We are seeking a passionate Assistant Head Teacher to join our leadership team and help drive positive outcomes for our students. The Role: As Assistant Head Teacher , you will support the Head Teacher in leading the school, with a focus on curriculum development, staff training, and student progress. You will also work with parents, staff, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students. Key Responsibilities: • Assist in strategic leadership and daily school management. • Lead SEN curriculum development and ensure high-quality teaching. • Support and mentor staff, monitoring student progress and IEPs. • Foster a safe, inclusive learning environment. • Collaborate with families and agencies to meet student needs. Qualifications and Experience: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. • Proven leadership experience, ideally in a SEN setting. • Strong understanding of SEN and inclusive education. • Excellent leadership and organisational skills.
