Join us to advance our mission and shape your future with us today!      Learn more about GovTech at tech.gov.sg.   [What you will be working on]   We are looking for an Assistant Director, Engineering Management (Platform Infrastructure), to drive the engineering, automation, resiliency, and operational maturity of critical infrastructure platforms supporting large-scale digital services. The role will provide technical leadership across cloud platforms, Kubernetes, automation, observability, and infrastructure reliability initiatives. The Engineering Manager will guide engineering standards, mentor engineers, drive platform modernisation, and partner with stakeholders across infrastructure, security, operations, and application teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and engineering of scalable, secure, and resilient platform infrastructure Define and drive platform engineering standards, automation strategy, and operational best practices Lead Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, observability, and platform modernisation initiatives Drive resiliency improvements including failover readiness, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and operational health standards Architect and support Kubernetes platforms and cloud-native infrastructure capabilities Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex production platform incidents Drive reduction of operational toil through automation and standardisation Partner with security teams on vulnerability remediation, hardening, compliance, and governance requirements Work closely with application teams to improve operational readiness and cloud-native adoption Mentor and guide engineers across platforms, infrastructure, and automation domains Support strategic planning, technical roadmap development, and platform capability uplift Drive technical governance and operational accountability across vendor-supported infrastructure operations, remediation activities, platform enhancements and operational incidents Engage stakeholders across the agency and internal engineering teams [What we are looking for]   Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field Strong experience in infrastructure/platform engineering and cloud operations Deep hands-on expertise in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure automation Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps practices Experience designing and operating observability and monitoring platforms Strong understanding of resiliency engineering, SRE concepts, and production operations Experience leading complex infrastructure transformation or modernisation initiatives Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering standards Exposure to AI-assisted operations, observability, automation or infrastructure engineering workflows Preferred Skills Experience in healthcare, government, or regulated environments Experience operating large-scale hybrid cloud platforms Cloud professional certifications Exposure to chaos eng
