[About the role]
Government Digital Transformation (GDT) enables government agencies’ success in digital transformation by bringing the best of GovTech—through forward‑deployed CIO teams and shared capabilities—to deliver impactful digital services for citizens, businesses, and public officers. Strategy & Plans Office (SPO) in GDT seeks a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Assistant/Deputy Director. This role is critical in driving the strategic direction, development, and implementation of strategy and plans that align with the GDT’s goals and objectives.
[ Key Responsibilities]
Strategic Architect & Change Catalyst Transform ambiguous executive visions into strategies that shape Singapore's digital government landscape. You'll be the strategic translator who takes high-level directives from senior leadership and GDT Exco and crafts them into compelling, actionable roadmaps that drive nationwide digital transformation.
Programme Orchestrator for Nation-Scale Initiatives Lead the strategic orchestration of Singapore's key digital transformation programmes, including the groundbreaking CIO Teams of the Future and Ministry Family Digitalisation Plan. You'll be at the helm of initiatives that reshape how government leverage technology, with direct visibility into their impact across the entire public sector ecosystem.
Cross-Government Collaboration Architect Design and execute the strategic frameworks that unite Singapore's government agencies in their digital journey. You'll orchestrate cross-divisional planning sessions, craft compelling strategic narratives, and identify breakthrough synergies that amplify transformation impact across the whole-of-government landscape.
Digital Transformation Strategist & Advisor Leverage your digital transformation expertise to shape the future of government operations. You'll define meaningful success metrics through OKRs, architect workforce transformation strategies, and chart realistic yet ambitious pathways that push the boundaries of what's possible in digital government.
Leadership Development Champion Cultivate the next generation of digital transformation leaders by mentoring high-potential Managers and Senior Managers. You'll guide them in strategic thinking, stakeholder mastery, and initiative execution whilst building SPO's capability pipeline for sustained impact.
Senior Stakeholder Influencer & Alliance Builder Engage directly with Singapore's most senior digital leaders—Cluster Directors and CIOs—to co-create strategies that drive cross-agency transformation. You'll be the strategic bridge-builder who secures buy-in for ambitious initiatives that span the entire government ecosystem.
