Assistant Building Manager (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm Contract type: 12-month Fixed TermAbout the RoleWe are working on behalf of our client, a well-established name in the private rented sector, to find an organised and customer-focused Assistant Building Manager for a 12-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you'll provide excellent administrative and support services to the Building Manager, while liaising with external customers, contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.This is a hands-on role in a busy property environment, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is keen to build a career in real estate and property management. Our client is keen to speak with candidates who bring energy, professionalism, and a genuine interest in property services.What You'll Be DoingSupporting the Building Manager and leasing administration teamAssisting the Lease & Contract Coordinator with deal sheets, especially during busier periods and new asset launchesSupporting onboarding of new deals and renewals on the referencing system and relevant databasesEnsuring customers pay holding fees (subject to pre-approved exemptions) during busy periods and launchesEnsuring referencing, pre-move-in checklists, and check-out lists are completed accurately and on timeChecking eligibility for renters who've opted into deposit replacement schemes, based on referencing outcomes and/or upfront paymentsHandling calls and email enquiries from prospective tenants and booking in viewingsConducting in-person property viewingsResponding to ad-hoc renter enquiries via phone, email, or portalLogging and progressing reactive maintenance requests, keeping tenants updated throughoutLiaising with contractors on day-to-day maintenance to ensure timely, quality workSupporting the Building Manager with chasing tenancy renewalsCarrying out check-in and check-out inspections using inventory software, and flagging dilapidation issues to the Building ManagerAssisting with instructing and managing end-of-tenancy worksCarrying out tenant move-ins as requiredLiaising with contractors on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) worksProviding general cover for Resident Hosts as neededSupporting the Marketing Team with resident community eventsWhat We're Looking ForEssentialKnowledge of real estate, with a genuine interest in learning moreExcellent organisational skills and strong attention to detailExcellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skillsStrong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and WordExperience managing conflicting priorities in a busy office environmentGood time management and a proactive approach to your own developmentConfidence drafting clear written correspondence and documentsA strong customer care ethos and understanding of property servicesSelf-motivated, with high energy and enthusiasmA track record of taking ownership of your own actions and growth, with high integrityA genuine commitment to equality, diversity, and mutual respectDesirableAdministrative experience in the private rented sectorExperience using Qube
