Description
The University of Houston is hiring an Assistant/Associate/Director of Development for the College of the Arts. This role involves managing major gift donor portfolios, cultivating and soliciting prospects, and supporting strategic fundraising efforts to advance university-wide initiatives and the Can't Stop Houston Centennial Campaign. Highlights • Manages portfolios of major gift donors with commitments typically $100,000 and above. • Identifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards prospects and donors in collaboration with faculty, staff, and volunteers. • Provides guidance on major gifts and fundraising strategies within assigned colleges or units. • Develops and implements development plans and manages resources for assigned colleges or components. • May oversee related advancement activities such as alumni relations, publications, special events, and media relations. • Participates in university-wide development initiatives as required. • Requires a minimum of 1 year (Assistant Director), 3 years (Associate Director), or 5 years (Director) of directly related experience, with flexibility for education or equivalent experience substitutions. • Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent relevant specialized training. • Part of the Division of Advancement and Alumni focused on donor engagement and philanthropic growth. • Salary commensurate with experience and education.
