SUMMARY The Assistant Accountant is a member of the Finance Team, reporting to the Financial Controller. He/she will play a key role in the finance team and is responsible for looking after Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and other duties as directed by the Financial Controller for entities within the 3L Alliance Group. The role requires strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across finance, development, and project teams. POSITION OBJECTIVES Accounts Payable and Receivable Prepare fortnightly and monthly payments runs and issuing of invoices to customers. Maintain strong record keeping and reconciliations to support financial integrity. GST Reporting Assist in the preparation of BAS reporting for entities within the 3L Group as directed by the Financial Controller. Cash Flow Reporting Assist with the preparation of Cash Flow reporting as directed by the Financial Controller. Complete Bank reconciliations for 3L entities within the specified timeframes. Risk control and compliance oversight Identify and inform them of supplier payments and customer receivables risks, work with the Financial Controller to mitigate these. Direct stakeholder engagement Establish and maintain professional and strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing support and accurate information to assist in decision making. Collaborating and supporting the senior management team to ensure business success and operation efficiency. Continuous Improvement Identify and implement process efficiencies within finance operations. Support system upgrades and automation initiatives . Competencies and Experience Experience 5+ years’ experience in an Assistant Account/Accounts Administration role, with proven hands-on experience in a large and complex multi-entity structure. Excellent analytical and reporting skills, attention to details. Excellent business acumen Experiences in process and system improvement Interpersonal Effective communication strong and clear verbal and written communication skills Critical thinking and problem-solving skills strategic thinking to balance short term vs long term business goal and ability to compose and analyze issues to provide valid and favorable solution A proactive and strategic thinker Tools: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word office ERP systems, NetSuite, Zone Capture and Property Tree are advantageous
