Key Duties • Assemble, build and fit complex centrifugal pump assemblies and associated equipment in line with engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards. • Carry out mechanical fitting activities including bearing installation, shaft assembly, impeller fitting, seal installation and final pump build. • Interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical documentation to ensure accurate assembly of components. • Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances and alignment What We're Looking For • Time-served Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Assembly Technician, or equivalent mechanical engineering apprenticeship. • Experience assembling rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, turbines or similar precision-engineered machinery. • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. • Skilled in the use of hand tools, mechanical assembly equipment and precision measuring instruments. • Strong understanding of mechanical tolerances, fits, alignments and assembly techniques. • Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or heavy industrial environment. • A proactive approach to problem-solving with excellent attention to detail.
