ASD Teaching Assistant Remedy Education are looking for caring and confident ASD Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school based in Plumstead, working with secondary-aged students. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience supporting pupils with autism and additional needs. The school are looking for patient, proactive and resilient Teaching Assistants who can help students access learning, manage routines and build confidence in a structured environment. Role Details: Position: ASD Teaching Assistant Location: Plumstead Pay: 100- 117 per day Hours: Full-time Start Date: ASAP / September roles available School Type: SEN / Secondary School Setting Age Group: Secondary-aged students The Role: As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will: Support secondary-aged students with autism and additional needs Work 1:1 and with small groups to help students access learning Support communication, emotional regulation and social development Help students follow routines, transitions and classroom expectations Assist with differentiated activities and learning resources Manage behaviour calmly and consistently where required Work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff Help create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience supporting pupils with ASD or SEN Confidence working with secondary-aged students A calm, patient and resilient approach Strong behaviour management and communication skills Experience supporting communication needs, SEMH or challenging behaviour is desirable A reliable and proactive attitude An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one This is a great opportunity for ASD Teaching Assistants looking for a rewarding role supporting secondary-aged students within a specialist setting in Plumstead.
