Company Overview:
A main civils contractor who has various ongoing projects across the island of Ireland are seeking a Construction Foreman to join their team based in Headquarters situated in North Dublin. With Divisions in plant hire, civils, rail, and demolition & construction, they are looking to add a Construction Foreman to their team, for their next period of company growth.
Position Overview
The Artic Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of construction materials, plant, and equipment to and from sites nationwide. The role involves operating articulated trucks in compliance with Irish road safety laws, company procedures, and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
•
Safely operate articulated trucks for the transport of construction materials, machinery, and equipment.
•
Carry out deliveries and collections to construction sites, suppliers, and depots across Ireland.
•
Ensure compliance with RSA (Road Safety Authority) and EU tachograph regulations.
•
Conduct daily walkaround checks and report vehicle defects.
•
Secure loads safely in compliance with company and legal requirements.
•
Complete all delivery paperwork, timesheets, and digital logs accurately.
•
Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service when dealing with site staff and clients.
•
Adhere to all site health & safety protocols (including PPE requirements).
•
Assist site teams with unloading materials if required.
Requirements
•
Valid EC (Artic) Licence .
•
Current Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card .
•
Minimum 2 years’ articulated driving experience (construction or heavy haulage preferred).
•
Knowledge of load securing and construction site safety.
•
Good geographical knowledge of Ireland.
•
Flexibility for shift patterns when required.
•
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
•
Safe Pass and/or Manual Handling certificate.
•
Experience delivering oversized loads, plant machinery, or hazardous materials.
•
Forklift/HIAB certification an advantage.
