WHAT CAN EXPECT YOU AT ISO-TECH?
During the two-year training period, you will learn how to use our modern machines and systems. The main task will be to set up and operate the machines and systems. Your work is an important part of the manufacturing process of our highly complex plastic components for mechanical engineering or shipbuilding. At the end of the training, you will be able to complete production orders independently and in accordance with our high quality standards thanks to your technical skills.

Damian
Apprentice as a plastics and rubber technologist
Who are you and what do you do at ISO-TECH?
I’m Damian, and I’m doing an apprenticeship as a plastics and rubber technologist.
What exactly do plastics and rubber technologists do?
As a plastics and rubber technologist, you manufacture various components and check whether the required tolerances are met. Along the way, I learn a lot about the plastics we use at ISO-TECH.
What do you particularly like about ISO-TECH?
I especially like that I’m allowed to work independently on customer orders early on.
What has been your highlight at ISO-TECH so far?
The trainee day – you get to know all the apprentices and take part in exciting activities together.
What is your favorite food?
Rice with curry strips.
Susanne
Head of Financial Accounting
Who are you and what do you do at ISO-TECH?
My name is Susanne, I have been with the company since 1998, and I work as the Head of Financial Accounting.
What exactly does financial accounting involve?
One of our main tasks is monitoring payment transactions, meaning keeping an eye on incoming and outgoing invoices. In cases of non-payment, we issue reminders and, if necessary, report the cases to a debt collection service. Other tasks include submitting applications for various grants and fulfilling the obligation to provide several statistics.
What has been your greatest achievement at ISO-TECH?
In 1998, I initiated the replacement of the typewriter with a PC.
Why did you choose this job at the time?
I saw a new challenge at ISO-TECH. Additionally, I wanted to be there for my then four-year-old daughter, and ISO-TECH gave me the flexibility I needed.
What is your favorite food?
Carrot stew with applesauce.
Michael
Cost Calculation and Work Preparation Employee
Who are you and what do you do at ISO-TECH?
My name is Michael, and I work in the field of cost calculation and work preparation.
What exactly do you do as a cost calculation/work preparation employee?
I review incoming customer inquiries for economic viability and technical feasibility, define the work steps, and calculate the production minutes. Additionally, I determine the material requirements for various finished parts and account for additional materials such as screws or tools. My responsibilities also include performing post-calculations and providing technical advice to our sales department.
What do you usually do after work?
I spend a lot of time with my family and enjoy canoeing.
Which ISO-TECH events have been your highlights so far?
I especially enjoyed the last cycling tour.
Jutta
Export clerk
Who are you and what do you do at ISO-TECH?
My name is Jutta, and I have been working as an export clerk for over 30 years.
What exactly does an export clerk do?
As an export clerk, I manage my own customer base from abroad. My task is to create quotes and process orders for customers from over 30 different countries based on their individual needs. Customer communication is primarily in English.
What has been your greatest success at ISO-TECH?
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to accompany one of our sales representatives on a customer trip to Iceland. This led to the development of interesting new business relationships.
What do you like about the Münsterland?
I love the rural character of the region. It’s perfect for my hobby, cycling! At the same time, the infrastructure here is excellent, and you can easily reach larger cities.
What do you usually do after work?
I’m very active and enjoy sports, especially spinning and working out at the gym.
Lina
Employee in the engraving department
Who are you and what do you do at ISO-TECH?
I’m Lina and I work in the engrating department.
What exactly do you do as an employee in the engraving department?
Deburring means removing sharp edges using a deburring knife. I also check the surface of various plastic parts, clean them or add chamfers.
What do you usually do after work?
I spend a lot of time out in nature with my tractor or with my animals.
What do you like about Münsterland?
The rural style and nature.
Ömer
Intern in the commercial area
Who are you and what do you do at ISO-TECH?
I’m Ömer and I’m currently doing my two-week school internship at ISO-TECH.
What are your tasks during the internship?
I initially decided to do an internship in administration and was able to support my colleagues with item creation and master data cleanup. After a short time, I also found interest in an internship in the commercial sector. ISO-TECH then gave me the opportunity to get a first impression of production. I was shown how the machines are programmed and set up and I was able to help deburr the finished parts.
What do you particularly like about ISO-TECH?
I really like the working atmosphere at ISO-TECH, I feel like I’m in good hands here. I was guided through all departments and got a good overview straight away. I also particularly liked the fact that with every task I was given, I was shown exactly how to do it.
