The Applications Engineer will be responsible for driving growth of outcome or performance-based contracts for pumping and treatment applications across the designated territory. Will put together technical as well as commercial proposals for moderate to complex customer process solutions, requiring performance/outcome guarantees on a long-term basis. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: • Selects appropriate equipment / materials to meet customer needs and to develop project costing and pricing. • Generates customer proposals utilizing standard tools, seeks and gains appropriate approval levels. • Accompanies and assists commercial teams on customer site visits – where a site appraisal/feasibility study is required. • Plays an active role in the safety culture of the company, ensuring the safety of oneself and the safety of others. • Administers and reviews submittal documents that have been prepared for customers. • Coordinates with a wide spectrum of stakeholders to adhere to strict customer project timelines. • Identifies opportunities to vertically integrate xylem products to be able to deliver end-to-end engineered solutions. • Drives continuous improvement in how we design, cost, price and contract long-term outcome/performance contracts. • Conducting training sessions for distributors and end users.
