Technical Analyst – Post-Merger Integration (PMI)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Analyst to support Post-Merger Integration activities. This role combines business understanding with technical skills to analyze an acquired company’s systems, map them to Cvent’s platforms, and help plan smooth integrations. The focus is on clarity, feasibility, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities
•
Analyze and document the acquired company’s systems, data, APIs, and processes
•
Map acquired systems to Cvent platforms and identify gaps, overlaps, and risks
•
Recommend the best integration approach (merge, phase, or bridge systems)
•
Convert business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, and plans
•
Create PMI documentation such as system diagrams, cutover plans, and decision logs
•
Support data migration, reconciliation, and validation activities
•
Work closely with stakeholders, lead discussions, and provide regular status updates
Key Deliverables
•
Current-state system assessment and stack inventory
•
System and data mapping (acquired company → Cvent)
•
Integration recommendations with pros and cons
•
BRD/FRD, user stories, and acceptance criteria
•
Cutover and data validation plans
Must-Have Qualifications
•
10+ years of experience, including 5+ years as a Technical Analyst or similar role
•
Experience with integrations, re-platforming, or post-merger integration
•
Strong ability to understand new systems quickly and recommend solutions
•
Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, and data models
•
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
•
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Snowflake, and diagramming tools
