International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for a: Airfield Services Manager Responsibilities Develops and implements airfield policies, operational procedures, SOPs and BCPs, ensuring compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements. Manages day-to-day airfield operations, including apron, runway and taxiway activities, inspections, hazard identification and coordination with airside service providers. Conducts risk assessments, defines mitigation measures and ensures timely reporting, investigation and follow-up of incidents, unsafe practices and corrective actions. Supports the development and implementation of the SMS, AOM, AEP, AVOP training and relevant airfield procedures. Coordinates with airport management, airlines, regulatory authorities, APOC, environmental teams and other stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance operational efficiency. Manages airside work permits, change management activities and airfield improvement initiatives, ensuring safe execution and effective cross-functional coordination. Monitors operational performance, KPIs, trends and resource allocation, identifying opportunities to improve safety, service continuity and efficiency. Supports regulatory inspections, audits and compliance reviews, ensuring timely preparation, documentation and implementation of required actions. Contributes to ORAT, operational readiness and airport transfer activities, supporting trials, simulations, procedure testing and service mobilization. Leads the Airfield Services and Sweepers teams, ensuring appropriate training, readiness, performance and response during irregular or emergency operations. Requirements Valid RTF License, AVOP License Minimum of 10 years of experience in airport management, aviation operations, or related roles, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills Strong understanding of airport operations, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, with knowledge of European aviation regulations and standards Proficient in project management tools and techniques, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from initiation to completion Proficiency Diploma in English Competencies Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop data-driven strategies and solutions Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing demands, and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances
