This vacancy has arisen within the Technical Facilities Department on a full-time basis. Purpose of Position: To be responsible for the maintenance and keeping both the airfield and paved areas in optimal conditions. Duties & Responsibilities: Repair and maintenance of asphalt and concrete pavements. Repair pavement area by excavating to grade or by removing defective concrete or asphalt with jackhammer, power saw or excavation equipment. Determine proper mix, prepare and pour paving material; finish surfaces with manual and powered hand tools. Repair pavement cracks by means of Crack-sealant equipment and materials Keep runway paint markings in pristine condition by spray painting using road line spray painting machine. Perform regular inspections of airfield facilities. Execute repair of airfield perimeter Fence Use manual tools including shovels, axes, rakes, hoes, and other equipment. Operate powered equipment including, air compressors, router, jackhammer, circular saw.
