Job Title: AI Architect (Azure Cloud) Location: Remote (USA) Duration: Long Term Contract Experience: 10+ Years Job Description We are seeking an experienced AI Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure Cloud to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building cloud-native AI platforms, architecting scalable machine learning solutions, and leveraging Azure AI services to solve complex business challenges. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise along with the ability to define enterprise AI strategy, establish best practices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive end-to-end AI solution delivery. Responsibilities • Design and architect enterprise-grade AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions on Microsoft Azure. • Build scalable AI platforms using Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Studio, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Search, and Azure Cognitive Services. • Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using vector databases and Azure AI Search. • Develop AI-powered applications utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and enterprise AI frameworks. • Architect cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs to integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications. • Define enterprise AI architecture standards, governance, security, scalability, and performance best practices. • Lead AI model deployment, monitoring, optimization, and lifecycle management using MLOps methodologies. • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to design data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and SQL technologies. • Design secure integrations with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and cloud services. • Establish AI governance, Responsible AI practices, model monitoring, security, compliance, and cost optimization. • Conduct architecture reviews, technical design sessions, proof-of-concepts, and client workshops. • Mentor technical teams and provide architectural guidance throughout the software development lifecycle. • Stay current with emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions aligned with business objectives. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline. • 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or Solution Architecture. • 5+ years of experience designing enterprise AI/ML solutions on Microsoft Azure. • Strong hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI Service and Azure AI Studio. • Extensive experience with Azure Machine Learning and AI model deployment. • Experience designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions. • Strong knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering. • Experience with Azure AI Search and Vector Search technologies. • Strong programming experience in Python. • Experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar AI orchestration frameworks. • Experience developing REST APIs and Microservices. • Strong understanding of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and App Services. • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and enterprise data integration. • Experience implementing MLOps using Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and MLflow. • Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Microsoft Fabric. • Experience with Agentic AI, AI Agents, and Autonomous AI Systems. • Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP). • Experience implementing GraphRAG solutions. • Microsoft Azure AI Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect certifications. • Experience working in Healthcare, Banking, Insurance, or other regulated industries.
