AGRICULTURE DIRECTOR The Agriculture Director is responsible to oversee and facilitate all areas of the Agriculture program, including the greenhouse, outdoor gardens, compost piles, flower beds, and student rotations among other agriculture projects. Play in the dirt! Help ranchers learn and grow in their character and leadership as they learn garden and Ag principles. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Develop and implement a complete Agriculture Program (including theme-based, meaningful projects) • Train and supervise all Agriculture Instructors • Help direct and teach ranchers new techniques and skills related to agriculture • Organize and maintain the agriculture meeting space and garden area and equipment including safety checks. • Make purchase recommendations to appropriate supervisor • Collaborate with Kitchen Liason regarding garden use for the kitchen, and upcoming events. • Complete a post-summer written Agriculture Program report including inventory, recommendations for purchases, upcoming harvest and planting scheduling, etc. AGRICULTURE INSTRUCTOR The Agriculture Instructor is responsible to assist in all areas of the Agriculture program, including the greenhouse, outdoor gardens, compost piles, flower beds, and student rotations among other agriculture projects.
