About This Role At Whitefield Academy Preschool, we are currently looking for employees to staff our afterschool program each day. We are looking for Christian employees to work in a Christian environment on regular basis to provide quality care for our students. What You'll Do • Work with the Extended Care Coordinator in all daily functions of the program including getting ready before the program starts and cleaning up at the end of the day. • Work in a classroom providing care of children, ensuring their health and safety, and directing all classroom activities. Providing a range of activities and following lesson plans. • Have positive, professional, and helpful interactions with the children and other staff members. • Multi-tasking is important and necessary. • Attend 15 hours of training after hours to keep state compliance. Must be able to put the training into practice in the classroom. • Understand the Afterschool care structure and goals for the program. • Complete all daily classroom paperwork and record keeping- attendance, accident reports. • Be able to work from 3:00-6:00p.m. starting in August. Requirements • Ability to read, speak, and write English • HS diploma • Be able to stand on feet and work with children 90% of the time • Be able to walk up and down steps. • Be able to lift 35 pounds when needed. • Church attendance and be able to provide a testimony when prompted Nice to Have • CPR and First Aid certification • Current TB Test • Previous experience
