TWP operates as an impact investment and advisory firm originally dedicated to high-growth countries across Africa and recently working with clients globally. We combine advisory services and principal investments with a focus on development finance and impact investing opportunities. The firm’s advisory business hosts an impact consulting team with a focus on executing mandates at the intersection of sustainability and private sector development and a corporate finance team with a focus on fundraising and structuring. The role The advisory analyst will support Associates and Directors on a range of impact consulting mandates. The candidate will be expected to support the global team in drafting presentations and analyses, conducting desktop research and data collection, and managing client relationships. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in supporting Advisory leads with the execution of strategic consulting mandates. Main duties and responsibilities Responsibilities pertaining to impact consulting mandates: • Conducting market assessments and industry research • Advising clients on various strategic products including market entry and route-to-market strategies and customer segmentation • Devising ESG / impact strategies for corporate transitions and assisting in their implementation • Drafting coherent storylines and presentations to reflect team analysis • Conducting due diligence for the public sector and development clients Responsibilities pertaining to corporate finance mandates: • Building, analysing, and auditing financial models • Drafting investment and business valuation analyses • Preparing marketing materials and supporting the team in investor research, and managing data rooms • Conducting due diligence processes for investors Qualifications The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and skills: • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Economics, Business, or Accounting & Finance • 2+ years’ experience in management consulting • Financial services experience would be beneficial • Clear, confident communicator, with an answer-driven approach to problem-solving • Self-starter, proactive attitude with an interest in independent working and learning • Demonstrable interest in the firm’s practice areas: natural capital, innovative finance, the future of food and energy transition • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint
