Advanced Nurse Practitioner Information: This job is now closed Job summary Due to staff re-location we are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and motivated advanced nurse practitioner with good team working ability to join our flexible family-friendly forward thinking Practice that focuses on providing quality care to the people of Aldershot. We can offer continuity of care in a small friendly team in purpose-built premises in the heart of the military town of Aldershot. Our need is for a part-time person for Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays hours from 8am to 18:30. You may be asked to support seasonal initiatives such as the Flu delivery. Purpose of the role To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients, as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team. To triage the on-the-day demand and deal with the minor illness/injury cases plus helping with the raising and approval of medication requests. You will be a value member of our team and pivotal to the daily clinical decision making from both telephone calls, routine prebooked appointments as well as online consultation assessments. Main duties of the job The Advanced Nurse Practitioner(ANP) has been assessed as competent in practice using their expert clinical knowledge and skills. They have the freedom and authority to act and make autonomous decisions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients. The ANP provides an opportunity for patients to receive timely care and negate unnecessarily delay in receiving treatment and without the need to refer to a GP. ANPs in primary care are able to develop close, long-term relationships with their patients and work in partnership with them to achieve optimum health. They are autonomous in making decisions based on assessment, diagnosis and interpretation of test results. They are able to independently prescribe appropriate medication, evaluate or refer to other specialists if necessary. Our core systems are EMIS, Docman 10, AccurX, DXS, EPIC and Cinnapsis. Ideally you will hold a relevant Bsc Degree/Masters qualification which is the required standard for this role. Experience in Chronic long term conditions is also a requirement. About us We are a growing practice due in part to the ongoing development of the Aldershot army space into residential living. Our list size is now just over 5k and with a 20% growth rate. About 28% is of Nepali ethnicity. Family orientated as reflecting in our smaller practice size. We have 2 GP, 2 nurses, 1 HCA, 2 ANP plus very supportive staff in a supportive environment. The Centre is purpose built to offer a multitude of health services including Frimley ICB led x-ray, and other services that you would expect to find in a mulit provision health centre. Being a smaller practice means you make more autonomous decisions relying on your own skill set with support from the GPs as necessary. Your time managment is your skill set as well to ensure efficient use of clinic time.
