Position Overview An established academic medical center in Georgia is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to serve as Director of Advanced Endoscopy Center. This leadership role blends clinical excellence, program development, and academic engagement while overseeing anesthesia services for complex digestive health procedures. The Director will guide quality improvement initiatives, supervise trainees, and collaborate across specialties to advance patient care. Program & Facility Highlights Advanced Endoscopy Center: 5 GI rooms + bronchoscopy suite Case Mix: ERCP, EUS, stent placements, resections, colonoscopy, EGD, bronchoscopies Volume: 30–40 cases daily Staffing: 2 anesthesiologists + CRNA 1:4 model (residents occasionally assigned Equipment: GE Datex Ohmeda with Aisys CS2 ET Control EMR: Epic | Scheduling: Qgenda Patients: Medically complex, high-acuity adults Key Responsibilities Deliver anesthesia for advanced GI and pulmonary procedures Perform pre- and post-procedure assessments Supervise CRNAs, residents, and fellows in high-acuity case Lead clinical policy development and performance improvement initiatives Collaborate with GI, pulmonary, and perioperative teams on throughput and scheduling Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students Schedule Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM 4 days clinical / 1 day administrative (flexible; remote options for admin) No nights, weekends, or call Compensation & Benefits Minimum Base Salary: $500,000 + incentive bonus $40,000 sign-on bonus + $10,000 relocation allowance 56 paid days off annually: 21 vacation, 12 sick, 10 CME, 13 holidays CME allowance: $5,000 Faculty development funds for dues, licenses, and subscriptions Malpractice coverage with state tort reform protections Full health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance (effective Day 1) Retirement and pension plan options (403b & 457b) Candidate Qualifications Board Certification/Eligibility in Anesthesiology (ABA) Experience managing complex anesthesia case Leadership or prior directorship experience preferred Strong commitment to teaching and mentorship Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills Community & Lifestyle | Georgia Living in Georgia offers a blend of affordability, cultural vibrancy, and outdoor recreation with easy access to major Southeastern cities.
