This role supports the production and refurbishment of critical power generation equipment through a combination of CNC machining, laser processing, coating operations, heat treatment, and other specialized manufacturing processes. Successful candidates will work with a variety of advanced technologies that help keep energy infrastructure operating around the world. --- The Work You'll Be Doing In this role, you will: • Set up and operate a variety of CNC-controlled manufacturing equipment • Perform machining operations on large power generation components • Operate Horizontal Boring Machines, laser drilling equipment, 5-axis machining centers, and other specialized manufacturing systems • Support bonding, coating, heat treatment, and related manufacturing processes • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications • Determine tooling, fixturing, and process requirements for assigned work • Load and unload workpieces using cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment • Perform quality inspections and verify conformance to specifications • Utilize precision measuring instruments and advanced metrology equipment • Follow established manufacturing, quality, and safety procedures • Maintain accurate production records and process documentation • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the operation --- Machines, Controls & Equipment You'll work with equipment such as: Machines • Horizontal Boring Machines (HBMs) • 5-Axis CNC Machining Centers • Laser Drilling Equipment • Coating Equipment • Heat Treatment Equipment • Various CNC-Controlled Manufacturing Systems Material Handling • Jib Cranes • Bridge Cranes • Fork Trucks Inspection Equipment • Precision Measuring Instruments • Metrology Equipment • Quality Inspection Tools --- Materials You'll Work With • Gas turbine components • Steam turbine components • Generator components • High-performance alloys • Power generation equipment • Industrial energy components --- What We're Looking For Required • High School Diploma or GED • Minimum 3 years of CNC machining or manufacturing process experience • Experience with CNC machining operations • Experience with laser applications and/or coating systems preferred • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings • Strong understanding of shop mathematics • Experience using precision measuring instruments and metrology equipment • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds • Ability to wear a respirator when required • Ability to pass a Process Operator Competency Test • Forklift and crane certification, or ability to obtain certification • Ability to obtain ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) Preferred • Horizontal Boring Mill experience • 5-axis machining experience • Laser drilling experience • Industrial coating process experience • Experience in power generation, aerospace, turbine, or heavy industrial manufacturing • Experience working across multiple manufacturing processes --- Why Operators Like Working Here Operators choose Siemens Energy because: • Exposure to a wide range of advanced manufacturing technologies • Multiple shift options available • Opportunity to work on critical power generation components • Stable workload supporting global energy infrastructure • Career advancement and cross-training opportunities • Modern manufacturing environment • Strong safety culture • Plant bonus opportunities • Relocation assistance available nationwide --- Pay, Benefits & Schedule Sign-On Bonus $5,000 Sign-On Bonus • $2,000 after 3 months • $3,000 after 9 months (Employee must remain actively employed and in good standing at payout dates.)
