Description
The Admissions coordinator is responsible for assisting in screening applicants to healthcare programs and facilities by maintaining admittance guidelines, obtaining applicant information, completing admissions process, and resolving potential patient dissatisfactions. The Admissions coordinator is often the first point of contact for people and their families potentially coming to our facilities. The employee must be friendly and comforting. The employee often assists the Business Development team with referring prospective clients and building relationships with other facilities. They also facilitate questions between clients and their families and educate and alleviate any concerns they may have about the admission process and facility information. Admissions Coordinator • Conduct initial telephonic intake process professionally and efficiently • Carry out phone screening with compassion and respect, providing encouragement • Perform Verification of Benefits (VOB) immediately upon creation of a lead • Record all activity accurately and diligently • Coordinate with respective facility to inform of all upcoming admissions • Arrange transportation to facility for any future admissions, if necessary • Follow up on all open potential leads What We're Looking For: • High School diploma or GED preferred • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Dignified and compassionate character • Strong multitasking skills and sound judgement JOB REQUIREMENTS: • At least one year experience in the substance abuse treatment industry • Strong professional references attesting to a high degree of clinical judgement, customer service, punctuality, and professionalism. • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass pre-employment requirements: Criminal Background Clearance, Negative Drug Screen and provide required documents.
