Admin / Reservations Staff Evergreen Backcountry Guides (EBG) Hakuba Valley, Nagano, Japan We’re looking for a friendly, organised Admin/Reservations team member to join Evergreen Backcountry Guides in the heart of the Japanese Alps. You’ll be the first point of contact for guests and play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience from enquiry through to tour day. The Role You’ll handle guest enquiries, bookings, payments and coordination with our guiding team. The position combines strong customer service with day-to-day operational support in a busy, seasonal mountain environment. Key Responsibilities • Respond to guest enquiries (email, phone and in person) in a timely, friendly and professional manner • Process bookings, create reservations, issue invoices and take payments • Schedule guides and vehicles, and coordinate daily tour operations • Keep guests and guides informed of conditions and relevant updates • Maintain accurate records and provide basic reporting • Support the smooth running of the office (opening/closing, cash reconciliation, tidiness) • Assist with guest logistics (pick-ups/drop-offs, general support) and help resolve issues as they arise • Contribute to a positive, motivated team environment Requirements • Legal right to work in Japan (work visa or Working Holiday Visa) • Native-level English (spoken and written) • Strong customer service experience (ideally in tourism, reservations, travel or hospitality) • Confident with computers (Word, Excel and booking systems) and basic cash handling • Valid Japanese or International Driver’s Licence Nice to Have • Japanese language ability • Additional languages (e.g. French, German, Chinese) • Previous tour company, ski industry or backcountry experience If you enjoy helping people plan memorable outdoor experiences and thrive in a fast-paced mountain environment, we’d love to hear from you.
