Full Job Description: The department seeks candidates from the field of sociology or related sub-disciplines who can teach one or more of the following undergraduate courses: Social Worlds of Children; Sociology of Education; Urban Education. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed. The number of these temporary, part-time, non-tenure track, academic positions vary from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the program. Appointments are offered on a course-by-course basis, and appointment length is based upon course section schedule(s). Appointments may be renewable based on need, funding, and performance. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field is strongly encouraged; advanced ABD candidates will also be considered.
