• Adjunct Lecturer – Finance, Accounting, Risk Management Botho University seeks to recruit a dedicated, ambitious, quality-focused, and systems-driven candidate for the following position for Gaborone Campus and Botho University Online (BUO). 1. Adjunct Lecturer – Finance, Accounting, Risk Management Ref: Ref2026/GBE/FBA/ADL01 Qualifications & Experience • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting , Banking, Risk Management or a closely related discipline. • Minimum of three (3) years' post-qualification teaching experience in a Higher Education institution. • Experience in curriculum development will be an added advantage. • Evidence of research output, publications, and other scholarly activities will be an added advantage. Main Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, workshops, and online learning activities in Finance, Investment, Risk Management, and Accounting. • Develop, administer, assess, and moderate examinations and other assessments while providing timely and constructive feedback to students. • Monitor student academic progress and provide academic guidance and mentorship to enhance student success and retention. • Supervise student research projects, internships, and industry-based learning while maintaining effective liaison with industry and relevant professional institutions. • Participate in curriculum development, programme review, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Conduct research, publish scholarly work, and contribute to consultancy, innovation, and knowledge generation. • Maintain accurate student records and perform academic and administrative duties associated with teaching and learning. • Participate in faculty, departmental, and University committees, community engagement activities, and other institutional initiatives. • Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills through self-development and collaboration with colleagues. • Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department or Faculty leadership. Core Competencies • Strong subject knowledge in Finance, Risk Management, and Accounting. • Excellent teaching, facilitation, assessment, and student mentoring skills. • Demonstrated research, academic writing, and publication capability. • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving. • Excellent Communication and Presentation. • Good planning and organizing, and time management. • Ability to build effective relationships with students, industry, and professional bodies. • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. • Results-oriented.
