Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Bucharest, Romania (in-office Tuesday-Friday) Your Impact As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will have the opportunity to provide direct support to the Accounts Payable Manager and contribute in all facets of general accounting. Based in our Bucharest hub, you will partner with team members across the globe to process invoices and payments with accuracy, drive process improvements, and help scale a rapidly growing international business. Your Day to Day     Coordinate vendor invoice processing and vendor payment functions for assigned entities.     Maintain accounts payable vendor files in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.     Maintain vendor master files, including banking, tax, and contact details.     Assist Manager with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures and reporting schedules.     Maintain sufficient records to support expenses and payments to vendors.     Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.     Ensure vendors are properly updated and accurately maintained.     Ensure purchases are paid within the vendor payment terms.     Assist in developing policies and procedures that support business objectives and ensure the effective and efficient processing of financial information to support Axon's growth. Basic Qualifications     Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.     Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant professional experience in Accounts Payable or a related accounting function.     PO/matching (2-way and 3-way) experience.     Professional working proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required — this role works daily with US and international stakeholders across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.     Strong attention to detail.     Critical thinking and a problem-solving mindset.     Comfort with change and a continuous improvement mindset — actively looks for better ways to work and helps drive process improvements.     Openness to adopting new technologies, including AI and automation tools, to improve accuracy and efficiency in AP processes.
