Shift: Night Shift (US Process) – 8:30 PM to 5:30 AM IST (It may vary due to business requirement) Working Days: 5 Days a week Company: SkySun (India support center for Elevation Energy Solutions Inc., USA) Location: Mohali, Punjab (onsite) Employment Type: Full-time About Us Elevation Energy Solutions is a US-based residential solar installation and field services company currently operating across five states, including California, Texas, and Arizona, with a goal of expanding to all fifty US states. SkySun is our growing India operations center in Mohali, primarily supporting Elevation Energy Solutions. You will work directly with US leadership and own core pieces of the company’s financial operations. The Role We are hiring an US - Accounting Manager to own day-to-day accounting for our US entities. This is a working manager role: you run daily accounting operations yourself while building the team around you. You will close the books, reconcile the accounts, and produce financials that go to lenders and ownership, with a defined path to Senior Accounting Manager as the function scales. If you are looking for a purely supervisory seat, this is not it. If you want to build a US accounting function from the inside and grow with it, this role is the right fit for you. Roles & Responsibilities Own the month-end close for multiple US entities: journal entries, accruals, prepaids, depreciation, and close checklist management in Xero Perform bank, credit card, and payment platform reconciliations across multiple accounts Manage accounts receivable, including reconciliation of financing partner payments, deductions, and clawbacks against project records Manage accounts payable workflows: vendor bills, approvals, and payment scheduling Record and reconcile intercompany transactions between US and international entities Book payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) with variance commentary for management and lenders Clean up and reconcile historical periods, and document accounting processes and SOPs as you go Support external accountants and lenders during reviews, audits, and due diligence Hire, train, and manage junior accountants as the team grows Required Skills & Qualifications 5 to 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years working on US client books at an outsourced accounting, KPO, or offshore staffing firm, or in a US-facing GCC finance team A working manager’s mindset: you stay hands-on in the daily work while developing the team around you Working knowledge of US GAAP and the full accounting cycle Hands-on experience with Xero or QuickBooks Online (Xero strongly preferred) Demonstrated ownership of month-end close, not just participation in it Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills: pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation workpapers Strong written and spoken English; comfortable communicating directly with US management Willingness to work night shift aligned to US business hours B.Com or M.Com required; CA Inter, CMA, MBA (Finance), or CPA/EA in progress is a plus Nice to Have Experience with solar, construction, contracting, or other project-based businesses (job costing, project-level P&L) Exposure to multi-entity structures and consolidation Familiarity with Gusto, Bill.com, Wise, or similar US finance tools Experience building processes or teams from an early stage Growth Path This role is designed to grow into Senior Accounting Manager within 18 to 24 months, based on performance, as the India accounting team expands. You will report to US senior leadership and be a foundational member of the finance function.
